Where does the name
TERC come from?
Where does the name
TERC come from?
The name "TERC" traces its origin to the creative thinking of our founder, Gabriel Balmer, who adopted the alias "Edward Riel" at the age of 12, believing that an artist name was necessary. He crafted "Edward Riel" by combining his third name, Eduard, with the ending of his first name, Gabriel, creating a distinctive and personal moniker.
When the time came to establish a company, "The" and "Company" were added to the name, resulting in "The Edward Riel Company." However, recognizing that this name was quite lengthy, the abbreviated version, "TERC," was introduced for simplicity and ease, marking the birth of the brand we know today.
